This is the new public library in the Gungahlin Town Centre. It's part of a larger complex including Gungahlin College (college in Canberra is the last two years of secondary school) and a Town Centre Park.
I think the coloured strips on the right are stop the glare through the glass wall. Alexander Bunyip (see yesterday's post) is just around to the left.
All it needs now is the books - if you look carefully, all those lovely new shelves are completely empty.

Looks to be a great new library, here in Yorkshire the talk is more of closing some of the ones we already have. I probably use the libraries here more now than ever before, especially the newspapers, they are OK online but you mostly do not get the sometimes great photos.
This one has lots of big comfy-looking armchairs, and it's nice and bright. I can see us making regular visits. I love the internet for up-to-date information, but for reading a novel - give me a real book any day!
That's a but surreal, a library without books.
